Facebook Data Deletion
Last updated: July 2026
1. What Data Facebook Login Gives Us
MotorGrid dealerships may optionally connect a Facebook Page — and, where linked, an Instagram Business Account — using Facebook Login, so MotorGrid can publish vehicle listing posts on their behalf. When a dealership does this, MotorGrid receives and stores the Facebook Page ID and name, an access token authorizing MotorGrid to post to that Page, and, if linked, the Instagram Business Account ID and username. MotorGrid does not receive or store personal Facebook profile data, friend lists, or private messages. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
2. How to Request Deletion
You can remove this data at any time using either method:
- Disconnect in MotorGrid: from the MotorGrid admin dashboard, disconnect the Facebook Page/Instagram integration. This immediately revokes and deletes the stored access token, Page ID/name, and linked Instagram account details from our systems.
- Remove via Facebook: go to your Facebook account's Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites, find MotorGrid, and remove it. Facebook will notify MotorGrid, and we will delete the associated stored data.
- Email request: email info@motorgrid.co.zawith the Facebook Page name and the dealership account it's connected to, and we will delete the associated data manually.
3. What Happens After a Request
Upon disconnection or a deletion request, MotorGrid deletes the stored Facebook access token, Page ID/name, and linked Instagram account ID/username from our database within 30 days. Vehicle listings and posts already published to Facebook or Instagram are not affected by this deletion and must be removed directly on those platforms if desired. Deleting the Facebook/Instagram connection does not delete the dealership's MotorGrid account or vehicle inventory.
